Newborn Nap Calculator (0-3 Months)
Take the Guesswork Out of Newborn Naps
Wondering when your newborn should nap next? You're in the right place. Newborn sleep isn't about a strict schedule, but about "wake windows" — the amount of time your baby can happily stay awake between naps.
Use this calculator to find the ideal time for your baby's next nap. Just enter their age and when they last woke up.

How This Calculator Works
This tool is based on average wake windows for newborns:
- 0-6 Weeks: The typical wake window is 45 to 60 minutes.
- 6-12 Weeks: The wake window extends to about 60 to 90 minutes.
An overtired baby has a harder time falling asleep and staying asleep. By putting your baby down for a nap within their ideal wake window, you can prevent them from becoming overtired and fussy.
